Service Reset of Front/Rear Brakes

I bought my X3 from a Honda dealer (used car sales) and overall it was in good condition. I got a set of winter tires with it and also they said they replaced both the front/rear brakes.

What they didn't do is reset the service indicator after doing so.. :-(

Now the front/rear brake service warnings have come up, but the brake pads have plenty left on them.

I can't seem to reset the service indicator through Carly because they mentioned that I need to replace the sensors.

I do have a set of sensors on order, but is there a way to reset it without replacing sensors. Will it be enough just to replace the sensors and attempt a reset?

Assume the same for all late model BMW's, on my previous F30 328i the Indy shop showed me once the sensor trips (worn down) need to replace the sensor. I asked the same question why I could not reset in the iDrive and they showed me why.

I guess if the previous shop didn't replace the sensors, than the sensors being worn out is a very good reason.

The brake sensors are dual staged.

once the first stage trips you can't reset it without replacing them or wiring them together.

How to change range of brake wear

I originally had a range of 80K when the brakes were new. I changed the brakes and accidently changed the range to 50K. Does anyone know how I can put the range back to 80K? I tried using ISTA but had no luck finding anything.
