New 2015 X3 - PCD Delivery

I'm about to start the process to get a new X3 2015 though Performance Center Delivery. Few questions for you guys who have done PCD delivery in the past:
1- How close to a specific date can they deliver my car if I give them 2 months notice (I'd like to get it at the end of April)
2- Does anybody have the invoice price on the new 2015 X3? So I know how much I can negociate?

Thanks! Can't wait for the new ride

I don't believe the production of the X3 starts until April so there is no way you will be able to get the vehicle that soon. PCD schedules pretty far out so if your vehicle takes 4 weeks before production is completed, PCD will usually be done about 2 weeks after that. You may be looking at a late May or early June PCD in all reality.

Edmunds has invoice pricing out on the 2015 X3. I would shoot for $500 over invoice.

Actually, you are correct. I was almost positive I had read on another thread that Edmunds had it up, but alas, it is not. Only retail pricing is out right now.

Invoice pricing not there, but take .92 of Base Price, and .91 of options and then you'll have it. Round up or down to nearest $5.

The dealer should be able to tell you with reasonable accuracy when your vehicle will be built. They are allotted a certain number of "custom" orders (not quite the right term, I've forgotten what they call it) over the course of the production year. Each such order reservation has a scheduled production date. However, that is only part of the equation. The PDC must then schedule your delivery and that depends on how many others have signed on for PDC deliveries in the same time frame. They only process a limited number per day. So, if a lot of people are doing the PDC delivery, that could push your delivery date out.

For what it's worth, we did the PDC thing and thoroughly enjoyed it. The driving was fun and the factory tour very interesting. It is my wife's car and BMW made her feel like a queen.

Delivery at the Performance Center set up for May 5th

Too bad we can't have the tour of the plant but I'm sure it'll be an awesome day

Plant Tour

Why can't you do the plant tour? They included that as part of the PDC process when we took delivery back in 2011. The Zentrum conducts a number of public tours each day. The PCD included our own (all the folk taking delivery that day) private tour. We had something like 7 or 8 people in our group. We were told to drive over to the Zentrum in the afternoon, following the delivery (track time, car introduction, lunch), and encouraged to drive/park right up in front for photo opportunities. Definitely do it if you have the chance!

Currently they don't offer it until Summer 2014 because they are putting up the new production lines for the X4. We still do the visit of the museum, track, lunch and so on but not the production plant visit. We'll have a voucher for next time we're around. Ah well, I would have loved to do it but it'll give me another reason to go back!

I did the PCD in September '13 and didn't get the factory tour either, but had a marvelous day.

Yes I did the PDC last week. It was great! You really feel like a VIP. The off road track was impressive. Definitely worth doing it! And I had my M3 moded by a DINAN dealer in Atlanta while we were doing the delivery of the X3. So the all trip was awesome!
