N52 HP boost via ECU and intake runners?
Searching for an '11-'12 X3 xDrive28i w/N52 engine (NA 3.0L I-6.) THIS PAGE about 50% down states the higher performance N52 achieve their power gain via different intake manifold and ECU tuning.
Does that mean that swapping the intake manifold and a new ECU tune net about +50hp? Similar torque gain? If yes, what's the estimated total cost for indy pro install? Would this mod likely cause the vehicle to fail its Utah emissions test? New OEM manifold only or is there suitable aftermarket alternative? TX! |

The N52 used in the F25 X3 x28i already comes with the 3 stage intake and a different DME (MSV90). I'm sure you can get more out of it with different tunes but not sure you will find much for the MSV90.
