Note the start/stop does make a 1+ mpg difference in the city as does eco-pro. I can live with the start/stop but not eco-pro. I keep it on comfort for commuting and kick the shift left to sport when I need merging power, etc. When ever I can, 50-80 is fun.
I got the car pre-owned with 35K miles, so not new. And I haven't really pushed it. In fact, I've driven almost grandma-style. I don't understand how I got 13.9 mpg in 1 week. 2011, so no Eco-Pro or Start/Stop.

The X1's suspension is more car like than the X3, the X3 has a longer suspension travel, therefore, the X1 will ride smoother than the X3 with the same tires. I have 18" tires and I keep it at 35 psi all around to help with even wear. There is no reason for the rear tire to have higher pressure unless you are carrying a heavy load.
