Retrofit Finalized/ F 25 X3 LCI Bi-Xenon/ECE
Hi,
This will be probably my last comment here. Today I have initialized the autolevelling sensors (make sure you are geting supply voltage 5V, and the operational voltage around 2-3 Volts+ in the check function in INPA D there should be info displayed that the sensors are working ok) Dont forget to initialize them in ICM with INPA D +one can possibly run the headlight motor check through service function in FRM My last problem was still two errors in FRM, one for each headlight showing the identification error in INPA even when i was previously able to initialize the TMS modules in INPA. In Esys one must change the TMS_ID (FRM ECU) to the correct value. I my case BIX LCI/ ECE. Since the last encoding no error messages, no fault memory in INPA.....all done It was long way.... Strange feeling, i miss the error messages now :-) In case, somebody will need a help with complete OEM xenon retrofit for F Series BMW, let me know... I will try to help. Cheers, H. |

Awesome 😃!!! Thank you shawnsheridan.
Also I have another question but I am unable to start a new post so I'm putting it here. I am looking to buy a used RDC control module from craigslist. The seller says that his "15 x3 had over turned and the insurance totaled it out. Since I have new tires and my tmps sensors all show normal battery life, I get RDC malfunction from time to time. So, if I purchase this RDC module, will I need to flash the entire ECU to code it in? Or will I just be able to add the module via is serial in the configuration file?? I only see that you can activate or deactivate but nothing in the guide for adding used, per owned RDC antenna/module. |

Is there a way to code the HUD to always display the street/exit that is coming up for navigation? Seems it will only show say a right turn coming up till you're close enough then the name shows.

Coding sofware
Hi Shawn!
Could you send me a link to download a coding software? I don't know my current I-step yet but I am sure it was unchanged since December 2014. I have just installed top-view hardware in my f25 with a new TRSVC module and need to flash it. After it I can add 3AH to my FA. Can you advice me a ECU names need to be coded? Also I have installed new climate module from CLI and have an error in IHKA. It can be coded and fixed? |

For TRSVC, you should just need to encode PDC, CIC/NBT, and TRSVC.

I recently got the OEM trailer hitch installed at the dealership, and they also updated the software to accommodate for the hitch. I'm now having trouble coding the car, I can't read some of the coding data. I get error messages such as "File for "cafd_000007c8-007_001_022" not found! [C012]".
I noticed the car's I-Step changed from "F025-15-11-503" to "F025-16-07-501". I'm using PSdZData v.58.3. Do I need a new version? Any ideas of what I might be doing wrong? Thanks for your help, Paul |

Not possible. The Speedlock FDL bitmask has been shortened to where Hex FF (Binary 1111 1111) is not a possible Value.

So Going from 6NH to 6NS worked flawlessly. I am now starting to Code FDL to change a few things . I understand the concept, but I am still missing a few things. I tried to read as much as I could, but I am still confused on a few things;
Once you change a value, say "Nicht Aktiv" to "Aktiv", do you need to save and then click "Back Arrow" , click "Code FDL" or can you also change the Werte value (same item) at the same time and then "Save" Click "Back Arrow" and Click "Code FDL" for both? Once you have coded a given ECU, and done the saving and "Code FDL", can you then just go to another ECU and change values or do I need to cycle the key, disconnect from the car or??? I found some info, but nothing definitive. Thanks in advance and thanks to all the guys who have made me the coding machine I now am...

Well it all works... I coded the mirror/Windows/Sunroof to close with CA and Fob, same for the tailgate. Changed the logo in the Display, and changed 6NH to 6NS. I tried to do Blinkers in HUD, but I cannot find the folders mentioned on the cheat sheet I had. I will look into this further.
Again thanks to all the guys on this Forum who helped me along.
