IMHO it's aesthetic. I just associate xenon corona rings with BMWs. Without them, they just look... missing.

A lot of people say they are must have. I really don't miss them, I had them on my 335i. Yes the the light is brighter and whiter (can be tiring), the light spread is better too. If you do a lot of miles in the dark along unlit roads then they will be useful. As for looks....well I can't see the front of the car when I'm driving.

Always first on my option list. Xenons = premium. It's a little vain but the car looks so much better with them. When you see those Angel Eyes reflecting off the car in front of you at the lights, you'll understand

Obviously there are other more practical benefits like the fact they are a lot brighter than halogens

The xenons have excellent brights and even the low beams are quite impressive. Plus you get the active head lights (they turn as a function of steer angle and speed).

As people said they look absolutely brilliant.

And of course it is something pricey to fix in 5 years!

ok.. yeah I think the wife will be fine without them. I got her practically everything else, msport, prem, cold 1/2, tech..

I got the apps, I suspect that is going to be a waste of money

I think the Msport is a bad idea personally... All the places on the Sport X3 that they replace plastic parts and put on colored bodywork are the parts that get blasted by road debris! Plus it is going to be more susceptible to small collisions while parking / maneuvering.

Plus the Sport wheels look better and the tires are wider on the Sport!

Save your money!

yeah, the car is built so.. already done. I think that package is one of those subjective things - I hear what you are saying on the bodywok, but we both love the look of the msport over the standard..
