Solutions For Sun Visor Extension?

Does anybody have any innovative ideas for a sun visor extension to help the driver side window position? Or experience with any of the aftermarket products? NASCAR driver position is out of the question.

I'd be interested, too. The lack of any extension to the visor seems a ridiculous oversight on a vehicle in this price range (and may actually be the thing I dislike most about the X3). Don't they have sun in Germany? Oh, they must, because the visors in my A4 slide down the arm and do an excellent job of blocking the sun on the side.

I ended up ordering a "Sun Visor Extension" from Visormates. They come in several colors and I needed to provide the year, make and model of the car. So I guess they're semi-custom.

Here is the link:http://www.visormates.com

After installation, I'll provide a quick review.

Ah yes, no built in sun visor extension; One of the many simple but easy/cheap things that they should have in the X3 but don't. Thank god it rains so much in Seattle.

In no specific order I think these are all little basic they forgot in the X3:

1. Sun visor extension
2. Auto dimming mirror on the driver's side
3. Adjustable seat belt height
4. Remembering which normal, sport, sport+ mode you're in after turning off the car.

That last one is surely a lawyer decision. All BMWs with this feature default to normal every time you start the car.
