HUD NOT available on 2013 28i?

I'm hoping to order a 2013 X3 28i next month. One option I'm interested in is the Heads Up Display since so many people have said that it's useful. Looking at the ordering sheet for a 2013 28i, it looks like the HUD has been grouped in with the Driver's Assistance Package (ZDA) but under the 28i column it says "n/a". Does this means that the HUD isn't available AT ALL on the 28i? Or can I still get it as a $1300 standalone add-on? Has anyone ordered a 2013 28i with a HUD?

Thanks!

If u get the driver assist on the 35i u get 3 things, auto high beam, lane dept, and HUD disp.

As for the 28i u only get 2 except the HUD disp.
It is a standalone option for the 28i costing 1,300$

Thanks for info! Well I guess I'll be forking over the $1300.

Suggestion: Work out the price for 35i for all the options you want and compare the price with 28i and then take a decision. Its worth making these calculations before you order 28i.

Yeah I'm debating the 35. It's really pushing my budget beyond my comfortable range. It would come down to 35 with less options or 28 with more options...

P.S. I see that you have a 28i. Do you wish you got the 35?

I went through this very scenario before ordering the35i. I think I would have been completely happy with the 28i (n20) if I could have gotten the m-sport package. Unfortunately bmw Canada does not permit the m-sport option on the 28i. The solution for me was a 35i with less content.

I currently have a 2012 35i love the engine and stuffs, but had problems with the purge valve related. So BMW will exchange the vehicle for a new or equal value.

Right now I'm going for the 28i fully loaded and for gas mileage reasons

Options vs Model...

I went through the same decision-making dilemma but between fully loaded X3 or a paired down X5... I went with fully loaded and feel really good about the decision. To each his own for sure.
