Nice. Now for the long wait. Maybe not as long as you think. My Aug 22 build was started last week and will be done Wednesday 8/17.

not sure yet. as I understand it my dealer is building my car on a first week september slot that came on a DX. (dealer exchange) he told me his mgr is hot on X3 right now so when they trade another car like a 3 they try to get an X3 slot. Now that its marked sold w/ custom specs it may move up. also, I'm in MD, only 600 miles from SC so its 1-2 days by truck
He thinks i might be able to get it in the first 2 weeks of sept, but any time in the month is fine. as long as its not before labor day because its going to sit for a week while i travel. ideally i have to go to a wedding in suburban philly in your area 9/17 - would love it for that trip - but i'm not going to sweat it if that doesn't work out.

big part of why i want the 18"s it potholes. Baltimore has roads that haven't been paved since LBJ was president, and I have to drive down them to get to work every day. I feel like my 3 series is loosing battles w/ potholes and frost heaves all too often. I want a bit more rubber between me and the road. besides if i screw this up, i can change the wheels and tires later - it won't be cheap but it doesn't have to go back to Spartansburg either

Nice color combo and congrats on the order. I live in nyc and understand why you stuck with 18's. Having 19's in brooklyn isn't perfect...but I love them. I also plan on putting a set of 18's together for winter. You are gonna love your F25. Don't forget to post pictures!!!

my X3 is built - the website is useless with updates, but i called last night (hadn't called since last wednesday because i was on travel out west and was out of mind...) last night it said my car was built and awaiting transfer to carrier. 1-2 days at most by truck from SC to MD (not sure what stops it makes along the way...)
also, this morning on the website which still has my X3 as waiting to be built, they posted my build video alread. btw, that is a cool features... the personalized build vid... so how long does xfer to carrier take? put the thing on a truck and head north already

Please post pics asap. I going to order basically the exact same car in a couple weeks but I want to see a few more of the DSB/Mojave contrast shots. I'm sure it'll look amazing, but need to calm my nerves a little. Thanks in advance! Oh, and congrats on the new car!

any credible motoring tester or engineer will tell you to stick with 18" for a better ride, let alone poor quality roads. I have yet to see any car with 19" or even 20" that does not have curb damaged rims.
