CONFIRMED DELIVERY DELAY LOG (replaces previous list)

To start this sad list, my week 23 build for a UK 3.0d with most options set to production unknown in week 16. It did include Pro Nav (to avoid non-Pro Nav delays!) and power tailgate.

To repeat advice from elsewhere, it may be wise for all those awaiting delivery to check with their dealers now the consequences of the terrible Japan disaster appear to be impacting so many deliveries. Good luck to all.

Seen one report of being dropped off the production schedule only to appear back on the next week so it looks like some understandable shuffling is going on. Message seems to be to keep checking and until your car is in production anything can happen. Joy indeed!

Went to our dealer today so my wife could have a good go in an X3, and in passing the salesman mentioned that our order was still confirmed for Sept. He even showed me it on the screen. Needless to say we are relieved!

Keeping fingers crossed. Do advise getting an actual production week or even a screen dump where possible as there are tales of dealers telling the odd story (tho surely not)!

Just got off the phone from my dealer confirming the same thing. He said "a lot of cars" would be affected by delays because of this. He also mentioned that M-sport orders are now being hit with some delays due to high demand.

So what is the quoted production week Pugger (at a guess Week 20?) and what code are you at (111?). Your news sounds excellent but does seem to conflict with some other reports. As stated above, it does seem to be a bit of a lottery. If they have your bits, they build. If not, they don't. And if your bits get taken you get bumped and if they spring up (borrowed from X5-X6 builds maybe) then you are back at build. Very best of luck. I am just behind you in the queue!

Yeah week 20 build, which is around 2 weeks. They have told me not to expect any delays, although he did point out that later orders have seen problems but it was more to do with demand than anything else.

I changed my spec last week which was colour and trim change, deletion of a couple of items and addition of pro nav. I have posted below, a screen print of the stauts confirmation - no delivery change (so far) from before the spec revision was made! Original order was placed 28 Feb.

Dealer advised that the change may push out the delivery before I said go ahead, but may be that was to manage expectations. Some fields are blanked out and the 2nd page options are not posted.

Splendid Pugger. So Week 20 builds should heck their status to see if they are 112 too.

I'm confused with these status codes.

My dealer has always referred to a four digit code: 1100 confirming that a slot had been scheduled and 1200 being the next step.

I see from Tank's screenshot that he has the 'Current Event' showing as 1100 and this is all I've ever seen looking over my SA's shoulder for my order.

But I see that Pugger's status is 112 and not a four digit code. Are these staus codes displayed somewhere else?

I dont understand either but if you see the 4th post on the thread below you get a list of the options. Maybe someone else can reconcile the four digits with the thee?

I'm curious as to how the actual code is communicated to owners. From both the website and the 800 number the status of a car is actual understandable status like "Car in production, due to complete xxx" etc. Never is a numeric code mentioned.

Where are folks being told "your car is at status 111 or 155"?
