If anyone uses a smartphone running Windows Phone 8 (I think it will also run in 7) There is an app available which will provide 'send to' functionality for sending destinations directly to your car via connected drive.

I've tested it quite thoroughly and it seems to work very well.

You will need to make sure that you have the correct settings in your connected drive account to allow third party apps to access your account (you need this to use Google 'send to' anyway).

Just search for "sendtobmw" in the app store. The same guy has written apps for other vehicles that use the Google 'send to' function. It will work in USA, Canada, Germany, UK, Austria and Italy.
