Pro nav questions...

Howdy all,
I have an X3 20d M-Sport on order...quick question about the Pro Nav.

Obviously the DVD won't play while driving, but can you adjust the nav settings?

If not, can this be easily fixed? On my SLK it was simply a matter of finding an indie with the right software to change the setting.

I'm in Australia, BTW!

Hi
Just took delivery of my 30D MSport today in Perth, yes you can do everything while driving for the Navigation. You can also now get DVD and TV in motion via a software update. dvdinmotion.com
Works on all CIC....

Doing it this morning, will let you know how it goes.
Emails and responses from them are awesome. Very fast and helpful. They also give updates as they develop things at no additional cost. ATM they are working on the DAB enabling on our systems.
Surprising the ISO download is very small too

Took less than a minute and all working fine......a lot easier than taking the car apart and fitting a module.
Recommnded 100%.

iPhone app bug: No pluses. No ampersands. No refresh button. Apart from these little flaws, it's a good app

It seems that Digital Audio Radio function is built into the Pro Nav systems, but disabled via Software. The guys have started to get it working for Euro customers and working to see if it will work here in Aus too
Will keep you all updated.
Great work from the dvdinmotion guys....all these update and tweaks are free

I too have specced DAB at GBP 325 and my build date is only 3 weeks away so I wont risk cancelling. Of all the high price option prices the DAB gets me the most. Not only should it be standard - as who would buy a home tuner that is not DAB anyway and, now I learn my GBP 325 is for software only!

I think I will go for the DVDinmotion fix though for the movies.

Yeh save your $325GBP.....dvdinmotion solution is only 104GBP.
Drop them an email "Lucie Vernerova", let him know that Roders told you about it.
He's a really helpful guy and also happy to answer questions and things before and after you purchase

He also removed the annoying disclaimer thing when you first turn on the car and need to click "confrim"

Do you know if it is reversible to put to stock if I need to bring into dealer?

They haven't made DAB activation available yet (can't see it on their website anyway). If they charge £100GBP for switching off the DVD restriction, I can't see it being cheap

They are doing a whole series of price per function releases in coming months. Worth watching their website.

I asked them about internet, and they said currently they are having issues, but all customers would get a free update to unlock such functions.

Maybe they will allow people to have feature updates for the first year (as per normal software maintenance)

Works very well.

Anyone know if you can disable the car audio speakers when watching a DVD and plug in head phones so anyone else in car is not forced to listen to movie sound? I am thinking of getting DVDinmotion - diabling the car audio speakers, in this instance would be useful.

Thanks
