2004 X3 Purge Valve

Hello -

I have a "service engine soon" light, and the code reader says P0444. Based on my research, it looks like I need to replace the purge valve. I am trying to figure out if this is something I could do myself, but as a first step have been unable to locate the purge valve! I have watched several videos, but can't find any for the 2004 X3. I am hesitant to start poking around under the hood without a little more guidance. Might anyone have any guidance on how to access this? Or could anyone point me to a good diagram of what's under the hood?

Thank you!

It's the purge valve for the fuel tank evaporative system. You have the M54 engine. It should be very similar to this video for the E46.
