Passport 8500 Direct Wire

Has anyone wired a radar detector directly in a X3 yet? I ordered the direct wire kit from Amazon and now I guess I need to RTM to find out how to get to the fuse panel.

Easier to get the power from a switched power source in the overhead light panel, instead of snaking a wire down the pillar to the fuse box. Make sure your direct wire kit is fused.
