2013 map update

I was able to score a 2013 map update for free directly from tomtom/BMW.

BMW directs clients to call 866-543-6848 to order map updates.

I have a road in my subdivision, which was put in 30 years ago that isn't in the 2011 map. After two phone calls and a couple of weeks, they are sending me the 2013 update for free. I've confirmed the road is fixed in 2013.

It took some leaning, but it worked.

For me, routing home always added 30min due to a wild detour. I told them the missing road was an issue with their database and it didn't seem fair for me to "upgrade" to fix an error they induced. Had it been a new road, then I would consider shelling out cash.

Anyway, wanted to share.....

good luck!

Can you share your neighborhood?

BMW / tomtom will sure be surprised at the shear number of BMW X3 owners that live in your neighborhood.
