Cousins reunited!!
Had my X3 for 2 years now and whilst 'in my opinion' the X3 is still a rare sight I very very rarely see a space grey X3, may have since 2 since I have had mine.
Imagine my surprise when I parked next to this whilst visiting Cannock Chase on the weekend - anybody on here?? [IMG][/IMG]

Unfortunately though since like 2 years all / most bmw with m-sport option come with M badges on the front fenders. I guess it is like the s-line badge on Audis. It's all marketing and makes you wonder when a BMW deserves to be called M or not. Same discussion going on in the x4 forum regarding the 40i. A lot of folks think it IS a M Car in oppose to being a hotroded 3l lowered, boosted and with bigger brakes, etc. Same thoughts going on about the M50d 5 series and x5 series. Would be cool if BMW would actually offer a "real" x3M in analogy to the x5M... hehe |

Agreed a real "M" Beemer is so much more than just styling and a big engine.
Having been fortunate enough to drive many M cars (never owned sadly), over the years, i can say they have an aura about them that a M Sport doesn't. Also agreed that over the years the MSport badge has become too readily available and costs only slightly more than a regular SE derivative. Very much like the audi S-line |
