3 Year/ 30K mile "recommended service"

Just brought in the X3 for scheduled service. Dealership "recommends" fuel flush" and radiator fluid flush" for $210 EACH ($420 total)....that included charging 2 hours of labor at $150/HR!

I just can't justify paying the stealership those kind of rates (my Porsche charges $90/hour, that now somehow seems reasonable!!!

Time to find a local Indy!

It sounds like a con to me. why would you need a fuel flush or radiator flush? is there anything wrong with these subsystems in your car?

The stealership claims that these 2 items are not covered under the 4 year/48K mile free maintenance service program...and recommends service every 3 years.

Curious if any others have been told anything similar?

Still smell "bullshit".
Easiest option is to ask another dealer what needs doing at this service interval, and under what conditions would they recommend the fuel & radiator flushes?

I have been told similar by stealership, they tried to sell me radiator flush, transmission fluid flush, fuel line flush, etc. None are covered under factory warranty. Unless your approaching 100k miles, I see no need for any of those service items.
