Absolutely love it. It's so nice not having to fish for the key fob/remote every time you want to lock or unlock the car. Walk up to the locked car, touch the handle and presto, car is unlocked. Same when you exit and want to lock it. Touch the ridges on the door handle and car is locked.

WOW, thanks for all the quick feed back . I didn't think this option was useful, but I think it may be handy after all.
I ordered the Xenon lights($900) as a standalone option. Now I'm thinking of getting the rear sun shade($250). But, the Convenience Package will be only $150 more and I get comfort access keyless entry. I guess the Convenience Package is worth it. I better go change my options before it hits Production! |

It is great. Like others have said. The one thing that I wished for is the ability to open the rear doors (like the X5). X3 can only lock/unlock using front door handles compared to the X5 you can do it on all doors.

I wish we had the option of the rear shade in the UK
At $150 extra, it is a very good option. I love it, but I have a toddler - so it is invaluable! Even if I am alone, it is still rather "swish" |

I really like the comfort access, though sometimes the door handle has a hard time recognizing my finger press. I think I just need to get used to how and where to touch it and for how long. If I quickly "tap" it as I'm walking away it often misses it.
Unlocking works flawlessly. |

I love it. Its the option I never knew I needed until I got it! The only downside is the remote is quite large compared to other Bimmers I've owned. I'll get used to it, though.

I love my keyless entry, except for the times that I inadvertently pop the rear hatch. In winter I solve the problem by moving the key fob to my coat pocket, rather than my pants pocket. In summer, I try other solutions to having the key fob in my pants pocket. The key fob spends more time in my laptop bag.
