Ordered X3 on 11/25

I ordered my X3 on 11/25 I checked on line and it has not entered production yet. My concern is that it is listed as white when I ordered silver contacted my salesman he said not to worry my build sheet is correct. It would be corrected my question is has this happened to anyone else when they ordered a BMW?

yes - thats normal. your build # has a set of specs you submitted. Its very possible the dealer had put in a set of default specs for an X3 on that build slot to put on the lot for sale - this was done prior to you putting in a deposit. When you put in your deposit, the dealer updates the build specs to your specs. BMWUSA.com website likely will not show your specs until right before it goes to build. Ask your sales rep what week the build is scheduled for on that build slot.

Sounds like you did some serious black friday shopping this year! congrats! how did you spec it out?

I had a similar experience. I ordered on Nov 29 and when I went to track my X3, it was listed as Black Saphire -- I had ordered Deep Sea Blue. On Saturday, It changed from a status of "Order Documented" to "Production Begins". Now the color is correct and all of the options I ordered are listed.

I think the previous poster is correct -- the dealer has a build slot reserved and just updated it with the new order.

It's normal, my build said the same thing until production started.
Once in production you will see exactly what you build and ordered!!
Good luck the wait will feel long!!

Same happened to me. Started as alpine white but now it is correctly listed as space gray.
