Downforce Yo

Looking to add a little down force to my x3. At around 140 it just feels like it's going to take off. ( ALL TESTING DONE IN MEXICO ) I bought some coil overs and I am going to be lowering the car a good bit but that will make little to no difference towards its flight characteristics. I intend to do a PURE stage 2 upgrade soon so going fast is going to happen a lot

I could put a big wang on her but that would look incredibly stupid, so does anyone know of anything that would look good but would still be functional in adding some downforce? The issue is there is not much love for our beloved f25 in the aftermarket world and most things areo look rice on an X3.

Am I just asking too much for high speed stability out of a $60,000 SUV?

Where, exactly, on public roads where other people's families drive is "going fast going to happen a lot" such that you need down force?

He will say I should have bought the 28i because the engine is lighter and some how that makes high speed stabilization better

Currently working with Kies Motorsports and ProAuto Motion to get a more aggressive diffuser, Lip wing, and a front splitter. Will post the test images and renderings once I get them later in the week! Perhaps we could do some sort of group buy and spark some aftermarket love for our SUVs!

I will be highly interested in the diffuser and front splitter once they're fabbed. Post pics when you get 'em!

Would be sweet if similar to these.... minus the international shipping cost.

I completely agree regarding lift at high speed in the X3. I've been thinking maybe something from other BMW models could be made to work.

For the rear, I've been eyeballing X5, 335, or 535 duckbill spoilers for a while, wondering if they'd fit well enough, or could be made to with some creativity and bondo. For the front, I've been thinking of chin spoilers from the same models or possibly something more generic.

Whatever I go with, I'm aiming for something inexpensive off of ebay or similar. In part, so that if it doesn't work out, I won't have dumped too much money into it.

The parts I've discussed so far should be available in Carbon fiber so it may be a tad expensive but won't break the bank too much. I'm sure other materials will be available depending on the demand. I'm willing to bet if we do a group pre order they will definitely cut some price. They may send me some pieces to test fit and I'll send some pics on the car along with the renderings
