Quick question on cargo capacity..

Hi guys,

My wife has a 2013 x3; wondering if anyone can tell me the cargo capacity from a length POV a) if the backseats are folded down and the rear hatch is closed; b) from the dash to the rear hatch.

The reason why I'm asking is I have to buy this giant King sized bedframe Ikea and take it home. The length from the website indicates that it's 83.5" in length (give or take a few). I'm guessing the rear hatch will likely have to be open and tied down?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

Better also ask/dry run if the car will even GO with the hatch door not fully seated - 'cuz it won't with the driver door open and this may be true of other doors too.
Just something to consider before you're trying to pull out of the IKEA lot . . .

The other morning, I noticed wind noise and looking in the mirror I saw the rear hatch was open. I must have pressed the button while at the ATM. So it will open while car on.

Must be missing something here. If you already have the X3 - why not measure it yourself?

That was my thinking. Why on earth do you ask others to do your homework?

There is one.

How do I know? Occasionally the power rear tailgate will drop down but refuse to latch.

I'll need to test it. If so, I didn't notice it in the couple blocks I drove with it. But I would have opened it AFTER I started the car.
