2 year maintenance upgrade dilemma

Long story short, my dealership is willing to take $700 off of my maintenance upgrade cost. Instead of $2300 it will cost only $1600. This maintenance upgrade includes annual service, oil changes, fluid flushes, oxygen sensors, belts, wiper blades, brake pads and rotors, and tuneups for 2 additional years or up to 100,000 miles.
They say the offer is only good for 30 days, so it will be full price or more expensive later down the line. Is this worth it? I am not afraid to do work on the car myself, but I'm not too sure what the annual service and tuneups entail or whether or not I can do them myself.
What do you guys think?

The cynic in me seems to think that if the dealership is offering it to you, it’s in their best interest. I skipped the maintenance upgrade on my 335 and over the course of a year I paid for one oil change from an outside BMW mechanic that cost $130. The brakes, O2 sensors, belts, etc. never needed to be changed, but the brakes were getting close. If you are familiar will how to change pads and rotors, it can be done for under $500 and a few hours of your time.

In 2 years if you did all that work yourself and got the OEM parts from many of the various online parts stores, you would barely get to half that 1600. If your not capable of the work, then its only a few hundred more than an independent mechanic.

But based on your service history whats the chance it will need all that in 2 yrs? Brakes are at least 50% of that 1600. But if your brakes wont wear out in that 2 yrs..

I fell for this when I bought my first bmw. Never again. Of course they tell you that a brake job is 1000, plus all these other things that cost hundreds of dollars. In reality, you'll get a microfilter, 2 oil changes, a free set of wiper blades, one brake fluid flush and maybe new brake pads.

will they do the spark plugs/coils, water pump, battery or alternator if they go also? i think if your mileage is going to be close to 100,000 by the end of the term then it might be worth it. also need to judge how trustworthy your service dept is. if ur mileage is low and ur dealer is like mine - they ll just tell you things are normal when u have coverage and then when ur coverage ends they ll tell you the same things need to be fixed or changed.

I'm in Michigan too. Who's your dealer?

Thanks for the opinions, and good questions.
I'll ask about the coverage again, and I'll also call my local indy shop, BPG and ask what they would charge for the same service.
i'm beginning to think that it's not worth it, even with the discount.
BTW... I have a '14 X3.35i brand new.
