Navigation DVD repair

Last week, my navigation suddenly stopped. I took my car to to the BMW service center in Peoria, IL. They said that these was some corrosion of the navigation DVD and quoted me around 7500$ for some replacement modules. Can any one please help me. I am ready to meet nearby to Peoria (give or take 100 miles). Thanks for reading and looking forward to be helped.
