Best way to unload LS2's?
Maybe a stupid question but I want dedicated Summer and dedicated winter tires.
I am getting the M sport and I dont the LS2's. What are the real world options for getting rid of those? Sell them online? I asked my dealer and they are kinda taking the hands off approach... How can I get the most value from the LS2's so I can get some fun summer and grippy winter rubber? Thanks! |

It depends...
It depends on how long you are planning on keeping your X3. It depends on if it's leased or owned. It depends on if you are going to get non-runflats. My suggestion: Keep the LS2s. Put them on the shelf and buy dedicated summer and winter non-runflats. When you go to trade/sell your X3, put the runflats back on, thus avoiding losing that cost. |

The car will be kept. After I ge my use I will have kids that will be driving and it will be passed on so it is not leased and owned.
No run flats here... I was going to buy some Blizzak LM60s because I live in snow country and wanted to get some $$ for the LS2's to fund a summer tire. I was looking for ways to sell them. I assume that this size is not the everyday size that will make for an easy sell to anyone other than an X3 M Sport owner... Has anyone had any luck getting rid of these? Thanks again. |

You might try the "normal suspects":
An ad on this and other BMW forums. An ad on Craig's List This has always been successful for me when selling tires and/or wheels. The local audience and local pick-up avoids shipping hassles. eBay as a last resort. Take off or "as new" tires usually bring 50 to 60 % of the new price at TireRack or discounttire.com |
