Sorry if this has already been discussed, but do you have to re-select the Bluetooth audio feature for your paired phone after you plug the phone into the center armrest and use it as an "external device"? Not the end of the world, but rather annoying.

Yes you do unfortunately. You get warned when you plug in the USB that you will lose the BT audio pairing but it is annoying

I have an idea that if you use the BMW 'Y' cable you still get both; however, do not quote me on this until I can check it out first. Please 'wait out'.......or can someone correct me?
