From this read i gather with the M-Sport
i) DDC/VDC is included but not mentioned(would be a major BMW goof!)
ii) DDC/VDC not included but dummy Sport+ buttons (Unlikely)

Personally I don't really see the value of the extra cost of DDC/VDC if free with M-sport yippee or this could just be a US peculiarity since we have none who has delivery of an M-Sport to date on this forum

This is what listed under M Sport package on the window sticker (see attached pics). I do not see DDC or anything like that. If you need additional details, let me know. More pics later.

Also, I am getting a company vehicle and I do not have a real need for this one. If anyone interested in this vehicle let me know.

M Sport Package

-19'' M Alloy Double Spoke Wheel
-Sport automatic Transmission
- Performance control
- Sport suspension delete
-High gloss roof rails
-Fineline wave wood trim
-Sport seats
-Sport steering wheel with paddles
-Aerodynamic kit
-Shadow line exterior trim
-Anthracite headliner
WOW - very nice! Thanks much for posting. We sure would love more photos as soon as you have a chance. Here are requests:

- Does it have the ///M door sill plates?
- Good photos of the wheels (close and distant would be great)
- What size are the tires? What brand?
- Can you verify heated steering wheel? (not previously available with M wheel, been wondering if they'll really inlclude it with ZCW)

There is a thread ready for lots of M Sport photos: http://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=522823
You can post them there if you like, and we'll all add to it as ours arrive.

--------------------------------------------------

The other thing, continuing the confusion I'm afraid, is that if you look at the photo of the interior (steering wheel / center console) you can plainly see that he has the DDC buttons. My VIR build sheet looks like his sticker does, it shows "sports suspension delete" but not "dynamic damper control". Perhaps they are synonomous when it comes to the 35i M Sport.... who knows.

Thanks! Here are some additional pics which should answer the questions above. If more details are needed, feel free to ask.

///M is there on door sill plates (see pic).

-Tyres on the vehicle are GoodYear 19's. I was told they are run-flats.

-Yes, it is a heated steering wheel. The vehicle has a cold-weather package.

- Lastly, according to the manual, Dynamic Driving Control and Dynamic Damping Control appear to be part of Dynamic Stability Control system (see the pics of manual pages).

The wheels are 19's, but what size are the tires front and rear? Are they staggered or are they the same size all around? Thanks!

I'm still confused about the DDC being included in the M Sport pkg for 35i. Some say it is, some say it's not.

Boy_With_Joy:
Can you confirm that you did not order the Sport Activity Pkg or the DDC Pkg?

It appears that you have the buttons, but can you also confirm that your shocks actually change stiffness when you go from Normal to Sport?

The tires are all of the same size. GoodYear 245/45 R19 (Made in Germany). I think the staggered tires come only with Sport Activity Package.

Hi,

I did not order Sport Activity Pkg or DDC Pkg. According to TrueCar.com, M Sport Pkg would include DDC. I will have to drive the vehicle on a highway to verify it.

M SPORT PACKAGE

-inc: dynamic damper control, 19" M light alloy wheels, sport automatic transmission, performance control, variable sport steering, , high-gloss roof rails, sport seats, aerodynamic kit, shadowline exterior trim, anthracite headliner, sport steering wheel w/paddles (N/A w/ 668, A14, 896, or B06 Paint) (REQ: ZPP Premium Pkg) *Late Availability*

Awesome X3 M-sport, it would be nice to see more pics from arround the car.

I've ordered the same options only in Carbon Black.

Thanks for the update...that's unfortunate. Perhaps they will fix that for next year's options. Thanks again.

Thanks for information. I have not been to TrueCar.com before. I'd still like to here your thoughts on how you like the dynamic dampers. Do they make a difference in your opinion?

Really nice car BTW. That is a great colour combo. The wife doesn't want white otherwise my order would look just like this. The X3 is for her, so I get what she wants.

OK I drove on a highway changing from Normal->Sport->Sport+ modes. Only the drive train effects were felt and could not feel any effects of suspension on the highway. Tried the same thing on city streets, some suspension effects were observed.

It appears the road has to be pretty uneven to actually feel those effects.

So what effect do you feel on uneven bumpy roads? Is ride smoothened out on such roads? Please elaborate.

Dynamic Damper Control
• Included in Dynamic Comfort Package (ZNR)
• Under “Normal” mode, suspension setting is softer than the base vehicle, providing a more comfortoriented
driving experience
• Under “Sport” mode, suspension setting is stiffened to provide a sportier ride
Variable Sport Steering
• Included in the M Sport Package (ZNZ)
• Varies the steering angle of the front wheels depending on the steering wheel position
• By comparison, Active Steering varies the steering angle depending on vehicle speed
Performance Control
• Included in the Dynamic Comfort Package (ZNR) and M Sport Package (ZNZ)

From this, DDC is an option with the m-sport (ZNZ) package in canada.

What is this quote from?

It does look like that DDC is included with the M Sport Pkg, which is what I have been trying to confirm. If so, this is great news!

Right, and since I have ordered both ZNZ and ZNR (Canada), I will have all the possible settings available for this car at this time. Should be here in about 8 or 10 days.
