working code for opening and closing mirrors at speed!!!!!

If you want to be able to fold the mirrors at any speed, I think you need to change:

FRM>3020 FRM_SPIEGEL_PARAMETER, 10>ASP_MAX_GESCHWINDIGKEIT_BEIKLAPPEN

The default is werte 14, which I believe is equivalent to 20 Km/Hr. Above that speed you cannot fold the mirrors. I have not tried this, but if you change that value to FF you might be able to fold at any speed.

One potential problem is that the mirrors unfold automatically at 40 Km/Hr. To get around that you might have to change:

FRM>3020 FRM_SPIEGEL_PARAMETER, 10>ASP_GESCHWINDIGKEIT_AUTO_AUSKLAPPEN

The default is to unfold at 40 Km/Hr (Hex (werte) value of 28). You might also want to change this one to FF.

By the way, if anybody wants to automatically "unfold" their mirrors at a speed lower that 40 Km/Hr (25 MPH), just change the last werte parameter to a lower value (for example 6 or 7).

JEG23

Giving credit where it is due!!!

I coded first one to 49 (hex)....allows me to close mirrors up to 45.26 mph

second one to 4A (hex)...automaticlly closes mirrors at 45.8 mph!!!

Nice!!!

I drive some narrow streets where it is best to close the mirrors while driving

4A hex = 74kmph = 46.25 mph

Why do you want to drive at such a high speed in narrow streets?

becuase I can, and going that speed I don't worry about what is behind me.

My previous ML500, and current ML550 can close mirrors at higher speeds, I got used to that and the X3 speed was way too slow. Never close mirrors on parking, so the open speed is not an issue.
