Anyone in Canada with recent lease buyout experience?

I was considering to buyout my lease when contract ends. I am learnt that dealer will charge 999 in which is in addition to buyout price mentioned in contract. Is there anyway to buy the car with extra charges at dealer? Any one with recent experience in canada?

Good question, I'd like to know more about this as well. Many people have posted about dealing directly with BMW FS - have you tried this?
