X3 vs 5 Series.
Hello all sorry if this has already been convered.
I'm looking at buying a new X3 (F25), I'm looking to replace a E60 but I need to know if I can fit 2 kiddie seats and a person in the rear? I can just about manage it on the 5 series and was hoping the X3 will accomodate. Could someone please let me know, or goodbye fair world (my wife will kill me) |

Yes but the person in the middle will be very uncomfortable if not a small child!

Just had two adults and a 7 year old in the back. Little guy was very polite but mentioned he was "squished" and ready to get out.

This....X5 seems a more natural size progression. Get that bad-boy with comfort seats and you're set for many years..
Question is does the x5 fit the budget? If it does, do you wait for new generation or get tempted by the offers available on the current edition? Loved my X5d btw, probably more than x3. It just seems a step up posh wise..But I don't need that size vehicle anymore being an empty nester and not towing much of anything.

I live to breath another day. Can't thank you guys enough.
The X3 is going to be my wifes car. I did consider the X5 as natural progression however she thought it was too big. For longish trips we may need to fit the twins (2 year olds) and one other in the back. We managed it okay in the 5 series okay it wasn't exactly comfortable but it worked out okay. So as long as the F25 is the same size of slightly bigger I think I'm going to be A okay. PS take delivery today (28/11) can't wait. But pretty sad to see the E60 go it still is a fantastic car (can I have a minutes silence please) AMEN. |
