ORDERED: X335i M Sport Alpine White

Pulled the trigger today with my dealer, and ordered the M Sport in AW 35i as follows:

Alpine White / Oyster leather / Fineline Siena trim
Premium Package
Cold Weather Package
Technology Package
M Sport Package
Convinience Package
BMW Apps (6NR)
Premium hi-fi
Satellite Radio
Kitchen sink
Performance Center Delivery

-----------------------------------------------------------

Just hoping everything aligns right for the PCD, as I had to target a 4 week period that I'm able to do it.

Awesome configuration, congrats!
When will they be able to confirm a PCD date? I am trying to order and schedule within a certain window also.

Good for you. I've seen that kitchen sink option before, but never had the guts to order it...... Probably cost more in Canada anyway.

I will post details when I know more about the scheduling. From what I understand, you don't *really* know your date until a couple weeks or ten days ahead of time. Sucks for buying plane tickets....

Not for long... Those dollars with Obama's picture on them are worth less and less every day...

Thanks. I will be trading my 4 year old E90 that is AW with Lemon leather. After 4 yrs, I'm still in love with the combo - so AW over Oyster was really a no-brainer.

Nice build. I have the black/aluminum interior in my X5 M Sport - a nice combo!

I am delaying my delivery until mid June, but if yours happens to coincide that would be cool. Two AW M Sports in the same day would be interesting.

Thanks.... I will be sad to see her go too. Hopefully to another appreciative owner. How is your E90 doing?

Have you compared the oyster to lemon in person? I loved the lemon in my e90, but when considering a replacement was very disappointed with oyster. If I had to describe oyster in one word I would say "dull" or "drab". IMO, it lacks the pop and warmth of lemon.

Anyway, it sounds like you've ordered a nice rig; congrats!

Yes, a friend has an E90 with Oyster and I was able to check it out. Where the lemon tends toward the yellow hue... I think the oyster tends toward the blue hue... which explains your observation of lack of warmth. But I still like it, and let's face it - it's the closest thing I can get now. The only other viable choice would be black, but I really love the two-tone interior.

My 335i I had a few years ago was lease returned and is missed greatly. Purchased a used 330xi and am hoping to sell here soon and pick up a 335d. Good to see you still posting.

Good to still be posting! I've been inactive for quite awhile...

...I've got a nice E90 with Lemon that I could sell you....

I don't know what it was that turned me off to the oyster so much, but I almost immediately disregarded it as an option. Oh well, not your problem. I bet you could get the lemon as an Individual interior...for a nominal fee.

I also agree about the two-tone interiors. Black isn't too bad, but it's nothing like lemon.

I don't mind it at all. In fact, now with the contrasting stitching it looks quite good.

But I hear that you can't keep it clean.....

Well, just because I have a production number....

Besides, I am doing PCD and have requested a specific window (albeit a wide one of four weeks) from mid June to early July. So I'm sure I will sit in the queue for awhile anyway.
