I'd wait for the new Cadel Evans edition to come onto the market: bright yellow, climbs mountains effortlessly, amazingly quick in a straight line, and will take over Paris with ease. Comes with a free national holiday.

She has seen through my creative maths before . I am giving the resale value math a crack (but my intention is to add the wheels, and x-line on for comparison which she doesn't want) before I resort to debadge.

. . . except that taking over Paris with ease is hardly unique. Then again, just one guy with a handful of support sounds like about the right sized force!

TV has come a long way in the BMW F25. I've had the function in my previous X3, E92 323 and E92 M3 along with Audi's. The reception in city has always been bad and I was expecting the same from the new X3. But I was surprised, even in areas where I could never get in car reception its perfect on the new X3. They must have really improved the antenna system. Also you get both HD and SD channels, my previous M3 only received Standard Def Digital Channels. Very happy

REminds me about the od joke of the French arms dealer.

Used rifle, as new condition. Never fired, only dropped once.

Good job I'm not French otherwise I would be asking when Australia was going to annex Western Samoa so they could have a winning rugby team...

Saw two white F25 X3 Sport SUV's at the German Car dayin Northam. One was parked in the display area 3.0d and the other arrived late and was outside the cordoned off area. Any idea who they belong to?

Couldn't justify paying for TV when it's hardly used. My 2 1/2 year old daughter has an ipad for entertainment. I thought money is better spent on the professional sound system given both my wife and I enjoy our music. I am pleased with the features we have chosen - not over the top but enough to make our daily driving a pleasure.

I would be surprised if the TV is different to those on our 2010 X5M and M3 which both have upgraded i-drive and is able to receive both HD and SD. If it is then I've missed out. TV was one of the only few things we didn't spec on our highly specced out 30d.

Do it on safety grounds my friend! 30d overtakes effortlessly on highways, which means you spend much less time facing cars on the opposite direction. It also has bigger brakes.

Given you are used to 135/1M sort of speed now, you will not enjoy the X3 20d when you have to drive it. The 30d though has enough herb that you would continue to be happy. Do it!

I like the way you think . A quick look on Carsales showing 3yo 20d is >10k less than 30d sort of won the battle for me this afternoon.

Now, I just need to order the car tomorrow before she change her mind. I was quite impressed with the 30d on the X5, so a newer spec 30d on the X3 will probably keep me happy when I have the drive the car.

Congrats on convincing the missus haha! The 30d on the X3 is much faster than the 30d on X5. It's some 300kg lighter afterall and if I'm not mistaken tuned to have a bit more power and torque too. You will like it.

This man speaks the truth. I've gone 135->30d and it's been more then fine.

We both ended up drive out at the same time......

Was a good day and nice drive in the 30D, down to 6.8L/100 very impressed

What? How do you get to 6.8l/100km! I have done 350km on our car since Friday evening and everytime I reset and drive it, I am still at 9+L/100km. And this is mainly freeway driving from the burbs to home in the city!

Go for the 30d! I'm hoping a 35d is around the corner otherwise I'm jumping on a fully loaded 30d straight away.

Can't wait to experience it first hand. I'm not crazy about DVD in cars but TV would be very cool if there is improved reception

Just order it anyway... It's easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to ask for permission

I saw you arrive late. But wasn't sure who it was. Were you following me from Northam ... didn't see you. Mine was only E92 M3 on Sunday. There was an Alpina E36 with a 4.6 engine from factory. It's up for sale. Beautiful looking car. The weather held up pretty well and was warm for a change. Wish I caught up with you and put a face.

Where can I find out more about this Alpina that's for sale?
