So I bought a 60K SUV, and I can’t enjoy it =((

Only a month of ownership and already 3 trips to the dealership.
First was a noise in the steering wheels when turning.
Then the heated steering button doesn’t illuminate.
Then the heated steering doesn’t heat.
They replaced the clock spring 3 times (at least that’s what the dealership told me), and none of them is working properly. They told me they need more time to figure out what is going on.
Now, they have my car for over a week.
My local dealership sucks balls.
I have been taking hours off work to make trip to dealership and back, wasted a lot of my precious vacation time and opportunity to make more money at my job.
Now, I’m paying shit loads of money on this SUV, and I can’t enjoy it.

Where in NY are you? I'm in the Albany area and have had excellent luck with Capital Cities BMW.

Get BMW to compensate you! My car was in the shop for three weeks because they couldn't find out what was causing the problem but eventually traced it to a thermostat sensor and module in the transmission. Well anyway complained to BMW NA and they offered cash or extension of warranty and maintenance.

Did you successfully get anything from them? If so, how did you come about it? I'm not a great talker

Call up BMW NA at their customer service number. Just tell them everything that has happened and that it is ridiculous that you spent 60 k on a car and haven't had a chance to drive it. Mention this is not the quality that you imagined from BMW and that they should either get you a new car or compensate you because clearly if they replaced the clock spring three times that it must be a lemon. They will tell you that they have to get in touch with the dealership and will get back to you.

I brought it back to them. They were quick on getting me a loaner and said they would replace the scratched steering column cover which was caused by their tech.

I called BMWNA, and they didn't seem to help much. The only thing they did was documenting my complaints so the upper managers can review it. They kept on pressing the fact that each dealership is independent owned and operated. They told me that if I bring it to another dealership, the other dealership may not replace the scratched steering column cover because it was damaged by the other dealer.

Now, I'm over a week w/out my car. The service manager called me yesterday saying that they installed the part again and it didn't work properly and they needed more time.

Didn't expect it to be this bad. That's exact what I told them to do yesterday. I wanted the column replaced and return the car to exactly the way it was when I brought it in. They told me a lot of part may not work and just give them more time. I'll wait for their call again today to see what they say. They can keep my car for over 30 days if they want, and I'll just go ahead and claim it a lemon.

Its frustrating that some dealer dont make the grade.....we are very fortunate here in Devon UK that our local dealer is very good.

Just mention the words Lemon Law Lawyer and that should get their attention.

At this point I would start throwing words lemon lawyer around and just tell them you will keep their loaner until it's fully fixed. Rack up the miles on their car till it's truly fixed. Document everything! I can't stress that enough. Document everything.

Ask for the moon at this point. The new car excitement has been ruined for you at this point. Start demanding a new car if it's not fixed in a few more weeks. You might even get a 2016 if your 2015 can no longer be found or build if they replace your car for you.

I already started to research on NY lemon law. Have to prepare ahead of time lol. Of course I'll keep their loaner until my car is fixed. How the hell am I going to work w/out a car?

Out of curiosity, is your steering wheel noise like a low pitch squeak? Happens with either direction. Something like that happens to me when I turn it. Happens 100% of the time.
