You plan on racing or just driving around town? Do you really think these cars have a standard non modified Quattro drivetrain.

Ofcourse I'm not a racing guy...
But, BMW has been always been known for its performance right?
They never compared themselves with M-B because they believe M-B is focused on luxury whereas we are geared for performance...
For me this add by Audi, clearly has a say when it comes to performance...
So with all do respect, what I was hoping to hear from people who may have some technical background as well, on how BMW- who always claims to be the Benchmark when it comes to performance- compares itself to such highly calibered facts (instead of some folks above questioning my ....! )

I've seen both sides of the advertising/marketing position: Audi is better and BMW is better. I've decided that instead of watching videos I'll drive the cars and find out what I like best. In terms of engineering, there are way more than a single solution for the same problem. AWD/4x4 can be implemented in so many ways, and each has its advantages and disadvantages.

The solution is to get the one in which your driving style gives you the best results. Even the measuring of this result often is subjective because each of us wants different things e.g, maximum traction vs maximum stability and so on.

An interesting discussion to post to keep everyone well informed and aware, but in the end our decision must be based on personal preference.
