Hi All

Those countries with the steering wheel on the right side appear to have cars built in batches. I understand that is the case for Australian build. I you miss one batch you have to wait for the next one.

Production number recognized as well. Step 01 Production Begins. All the options listed correctly.

I ordered my 2013 X3 35i on March 10th. I called BMWNA today and the automated system says it's in the body shop with an estimated completion date of April 4th 2012. I can also now add the vehicle on the BMW website. It lists the correct options but only shows it at Step 01 "Production Begins". When do you get to see the videos?

timing is very strange....when I registered on the BMW site about a week ago it would not take the production number, so I used the VIN. Well it took the VIN, but it errored off every time I tried to log in. Early this morning called in to see that my X3 was finished production (wooohoooo) so I figured what the heck, I'll talk to them to see if they knew anything about the EPA/CARB certifications, which of course they did not. So I told her about my log on issues, she said she would turn it in to the web team, but assumed nothing would happen.

I still believe its coincidental timing but can now access my account and see my production status, which online is behind, still shows in Production when production gas actually been completed. Now can't wait for the build video to be ready to view!

Thanks. I called BMWNA and they said they couldn't track Canadian production numbers. I find that unusual as the production numbers should all be the same "7" series of consecutive numbers based on the order date.

I then called BMW Canada and they didn't know their backside from a hole in the ground and suggested I call the dealership. So, I emailed my CA to see if he could track down production info. Typical Canadian bang-up service.

Now when I call BMWNA it says "your vehicle is being transported to the port of exit". Does that mean it's done production and on it's way to the dealer?

I had this status a couple of days ago, this means it has completed production, my status is now updated to released to carrier to port of exit and coincidentally enough, got a note from my CA today to arrange my PCD delivery for 4/26.

All MY2013's had been on hold pending EPA/CARB approvals and PCD would NOT schedule until they had obtained these approvals, so clearly that must now be done. That being said, you should see it ship to your dealer within days.....the wait is almost over!!

Yes, here's a link to compare the 2013 28i and 35i:

My production status is now at "finishing touches". I ordered my 2013 35i on March 10th and the actual production date was April 4th. It should only be another week or so until it gets to my dealer. I'm very excited!

2013 X3s have shipped. Visited my dealer's receiving lot this afternoon and two '13 X328is have arrived. One is mine. Hopefully delivery is tomorrow. Production was completed this past Monday or Tuesday.

Hey lbjgh,

I sent an email to BMW.ca, with the production number, I received an answer within the same hour. I was disappointed that my production week is only April 30th...I place my order on March 19th.

I'll contact them during this week to know the production status.

My order looks like it will take a full 8 weeks which would be in line with the UK timelines if you consider shipping times.

You guys have like 1 or 2 weeks between order and build ... beating our UK orders...
