2017 X3 Msport - Alpine White - A work in progress.
Hi all, I am new to this forum.
I recently bought a 2017 X3 Msport. I've switched out the grille and added two ///M logos on the sides. I also added in those little door lights that project the BMW logo on the floor at night. Future plans include lowering it 2", replacing the brake caliper covers with M blue colored covers, Wheel Spacers and possibly some carbon fiber for the interior. Edit: No longer going to lower her. I drive the family around and don't want a bumpier ride. Also, no longer going to get brake cliper covers, I am going to have my brake calipers painted. Few questions. Edit: Leaving this here because people responded to it and don't want to confuse anyone. I was looking at the Eibach Pro Lowering kit but it only lowers it about 1.2" So I am thinking about the H&R Sport Lowering Springs which will give it 2". Anyone with experience with either of these kits? If dropped 2" will I bottom out if I hit bumps? I had an eclipse that was slammed to the floor when I was younger, It rode like crap of course but looked beautiful. Will these lowering kits effect the ride of the car? My only worry is a voided warranty. I would hate to lower it only to have problems when I bring it into the dealership. Any help or experiences are appreciated! Come on now. I put two ///M emblems on the sides and a license plate holder, going to take out the grille inserts because I don't really like how they look.
On the real though, I do own a printing company that does vehicle wraps so I will end up putting a really nice wrap on her in the future. Enjoying the white for now. |

Yeah, I made this username about 10 years ago when I had a Dodge Durango double bagged with almost a 24" lift to drop ratio. Was way out of warranty when I started modding it though. Thing slammed to the floor and looked so sexy. Username just ended up sticking. Won't bag another car though, the compressor is just to loud.

I screwed up. I assumed a BMW would come with Xenon headlights so didn't even ask at the dealership. Didn't even notice till about 3 days after I bought the car when I went to drive at night that I have old school headlights. Really bummed about it.

to answer your original question.
I'm on Eibachs. Don't read what the manufacturer published. It is less than 1" drop. I have pics on this forum. That being said, it did tidy up the handling and braking considerably. Not much more can be done about body roll though. Ride, the bumpiness of the springs + 20" RFT combo makes itself known but not worse than an E90 3 series. My father had a stock X3 and side to side I'd take mine any day. Aside from that, I also put on a tunerwerks tuning module and that wakes up the N20 quite a bit. |

Dude... I had no idea when I bought the car that it didn't come with Xenons. I assumed all high end luxury vehicles came with them at this point. I'm actually really bummed about it. Adding them now is really expensive.

At first I could not believe you don't have them was thinking I'm just seeing it wrong since you have the led fog lights... but that's the first thing I would save my money for before investing into anything else... whoever sold you the car I would put a really bad review that they did not offer the package.

Looks like I can find some for about $250- $275 each. So that would be about $550 + install. https://www.ebay.com/i/152356601884?chn=ps&dispItem=1 |
