Emission / Engine Light on Dashboard~

Jan. 1, 2012. Posted in Bimmerfest.

Hey Guys,
Hope You guys had a great holidays.

i had this yellow engine/emission light that lighted up during the 1st 500miles on the car. So i went went back for service. My SA told me it was the purge valve. The car was running fine with no problems.

Now at 1900 miles. The Engine light / Emission light came back on again. Had no problem in terms of driving, it seemed like everything was normal.
The day after the diagnostic, they told me they have no idea what is going on, so my SA updated me that they are contacting BMW for this problem.

So, i was wondering if you f25 owners have this similar issue?

If this goes on, i just might assume this is a LEMON car that i should contact a lemon lawyer. What is your opinion?

Feb. 21, 2012 UPDATE:

last time they replaced a purge valve and something special which they ordered that was related to emmision,

Now my car is at 2,800 Miles and a emiision light is showing up now.
I really hate going back and forth to the dealer and get my car fixed, it happends everytime that there is something important comming up

Now, do you guys think that i should get a lemon lawyer for this issue?

Thanks Guys!

How about ignore the idiot light until the next scheduled service? In the interim whatever is causing the fault may fail catastrophicaly forcing BMW to fix the car correctly.

Thanks for the input.
I would honestly love to do that. Unfotunaly, I drive daily especially on the morning rush to NYC just to get to work.

I do a lot of defensive driving :X, so yea I don't want that emission light causing me to lose acceleration when needed U_U
