Extended warranty

My back up camera works intermittently and the radio changes stations randomly. Sometimes the panel shuts down while driving and despite taking it to BMW, they've been unable to find the cause. Worker told me if I bring it back I'd have to pay 150.00 for another diagnostic even though I have the extended warranty... Have others heard of a 150.00 payment for a diagnostic despite having an extended warranty?

That only makes sense if it says so in the warranty agreement. If it does, you're stuck. I was just looking at extended warranties; who's is yours from?

Read the warranty contract, it will have the term details.

my understanding is if you pay the money for diagnostic, it is refunded if your warranty covers it.

Then if it not under warranty and you give the go ahead for them to repair, they will take that off the overall cost at the end.

Whether after the diagnostic the repair is cheap or you want BMW to do it, is another question altogether.
