Ordered X3 2.8 on 11/11 have ?

Very strange I ordered a 2012 2.8 X3 on 11/11 and it now shows a build week of 50? When we first placed the order it was sloted for week 49. I live in Texas so delivery should be quick. My concerns: With the holidays around the corner could this get pushed into Jan? Dose anyone know if & when the plant closes for the holidays? Do the vendors that supply BMW close during the holidays? Two other issues: The BMW 1K Loyality rebate ends on 1/4/2012 + BMW has a price increase going into affect in Jan 2012. Thoughts? This is my 14th BMW & my 1st time i have ordered a car.

Seems a bit strange. I ordered my 35i on 11/14 and should be receiving the vehicle on Wednesday.

Talk to your dealer and see when BMW NA will invoice the dealer. usually this will happen at the end of production. If so, they should be able register the vehicle (RDR) and qualify you for the credit.

If not, have your dealer talk to their BMW rep to provide an extension.

Week 50 is mid December, add few weeks for delivery, you should expect in January only. New Year, New Car.

Fasttoys - I also ordered my X3xdrive28i on 11/11/11. According to the "Track My BMW" section of the bmwusa website, production began on 11/24/11, and the build moved to "Finishing Touches" on 12/6/11. I'm not sure when the X3 will be delivered to my dealer in Colorado - my best guess is 12/16/11.

I think when the rest of the world get their expected delivery dates when they order they assume the dates are in American format. Oh, so that's 8/2/2012 for delivery? Great, 2 months to wait. No sir, that's the 2nd of AUGUST 2012. Noooooo!

So I should see my 3.5 soon.

Keep me posted if you see yours. Mine is on the same schedule, and I assume the same train, but my dealer is saying it won't reach california until Dec 20.

Mine took about a week (5 working days). Then it spent about another 2 days before it was shipped out. The video showed up under the digital library in the myBMW site. I also got an email from BMW when the video was uploaded there. Interesting note that the final portion of the video where the car is started and driven away shows that it is hour 40.

Fasttoys and litt - I checked with my dealer today, and was told that the database shows that my X3 is to be put on a truck today, Friday, 12/9/11 (or 9/12/11 for our UK friends) in Spartanburg. The dealer expects the truck to arrive in Colorado by next Wednesday, December 14. It will take a day to prepare the X3, so my guess of December 16 as the delivery date to me was pretty close.

The build video of my X3 is pretty slick - I downloaded it last night.

Interesting. From my understanding, at least to Salt Lake, the X3 goes on a train to the VPC in California first from the VPC in SC, then gets put on a truck to SLC. I would have thought to CO would be the same, but maybe you get a straight truck from SC to CO. That would be sweet if you see it that soon.

I was very happy to see my build video also. I am hoping to see it before Xmas but if it doesn't arrive in CA until the 20th, I doubt I will see it until after.

Thanks post pictures of you X3 once received.
I purchased the 2012 X3 for my wife. We traded in her 2009 BMW 3. We needed an SUV in the family her back seats did not go down. In late June I purchased a loaded 2011 ZCP M3, its my DD. I sold my 2011 Audi S4 that I only kept for 3 months (long Story) I miss the 06 M5 I sold in late March. We drove a Q5 as a loaner for 3 weeks while my new S4 was in the shop. She enjoyed the Q5 but the dealer would not go lower than 1k off MSRP. We move cars every two years so I need a car that holds its value and I can get a below or slightly above invoice. In the end she decided on the X3 it was the better suv

Litt and Fasttoys - the bmwusa website shows that my X3 is at the dealer in Colorado today, December 12. If so, that was a quick trip from Spartanburg, since the dealer told me that the X was being put on a truck on Friday, December 9. I'll let you when I take delivery.
