Steve30dMSport, it's ok. I got hit too.

To be honest, I know how it feels, we all need to yell it out to the world, as to why the f*** people have to hit our really nice BMWs.....

Although in this case, my wife had parked the car, and some idiot who couldn't get into a perfectly wide car space clipped 3 panels while driving into the car parking space, went oh shit and drove off.

Asif not leave a note.

Anyway, to be honest it is no where near as bad as Steve's lifetime worth of collisions condensed into 1 month, but damn, least the other party pays for your damages!

Bah, not sure how I'm going to get this fixed, can't be bothered paying the $1000 premium, and I don't want them replacing panels, scraping away at 1 month old paint.

For the record, damn actually I just checked the receipt, the car is only 3 weeks old, but has done over 1000KM.

BAH! DAMN THESE PEOPLE STEVE!

***Anyhow, back to the problem, the guy clipped and dented the plastic M-Sport wheel arch, grazed into the front metal drivers wheel panel above the wheel arch, grazed the front drivers side door.

Optimistically I tried buffing the scratches but no go, too deep.

If I take it to the panel guys, can they do some magical treatment or do they have to strip at that local section of the paint and respray?

Far out tiger. What can you say? Absolute bastards act for pissing off. Take some photos and email them to Graeme and see what he thinks. He'll give an honest quote on the job and may do a cashy for you. I can tell you that a new front quarter panel is $1500. Heart goes out to you mate.

Sorry to see this, some people just "have accidents" regularly, it's a fact.
My mate is in car insurance and told me some people have 3/4 accidents a year , I said you are joking; NO it's true he said.
No wonder our premiums are always on the UP.

Is this somehow the season of accidents for F25 owners? At least I'm not alone...

Ok, we've all seen people talking on the cell, texting, watching movies, etc. This morning was a new one for me. Personal best, I would call it. A woman in the car next to me was KNITTING while driving.

I've got you beat. A man in an S-class the other day was driving on the highway in morning rush hour traffic, reading emails on a MacBook on his lap. Screw Mercedes-Benz Distronic cruise control, that shit is not safe.
