Voice Input not working

Hi there!

I recently bought 2007 X3 si 3.0 with business navigation complete with bluetooth. I have got the bluetooth working al right but the voice input is not working. On my wheel, there is a button of talking man but it doesn't work for voice input. I have kept it pressed for more than 3 secs but no acoustic sound or display saying voice function is activated.

I understood from various posts that in E83 2005 onwards voice input is standard with BMW assist option and I do have BMW assist function (but not working, I understand I have to pay to activate it!)

Can someone help what I need to do to get it working?

It's a software option in the TCU that you can enable with navcoder. I have it in mine and it's simply the worst product ever. I'm going to disable mine because it's utterly useless and has never understood a single command I've said. When disabled I should be able to use SIRI.
