Dinantronics Stage 1 for 2017 BMW X3 xDrive35i...

Has anyone installed the Dinantronics Stage 1 on a 2017 BMW X3 xDrive35i yet?
I can't seem to identify whether my X3 has an Electronic Waste Gate (EWG) or a Vacuum operated Mechanical Waste Gate (MWG). I am focusing on looking on the right (passenger) side of the engine. Things are super-tight in that area. I've dropped my cell phone in taped to the end of a stick and taken video at all kinds of angles, but nothing resembling the vacuum chamber or the EWG shown in the pictures in the manual for the N55 6-cylinder can be found. They claim that some cars have the EWG, and others have the MWG, even within the exact same year & model vehicle.
Can anyone help direct me exactly where to look?

PIEZON has a 13' i think he prob has PWG model
Can you explain the rational behind this? Are you saying that sometimes BMW stops using EWG's half way through the production year builds and switches to MWG's for some reason?

Back in 2013 most of all of BMWs engines were switched from PWG to EWG. A 2017 is most likely a EWG. BMW did this because EWG are much more accurate and less likely to fail unlike their PWG which relies on much more parts to control the Wastegate.

The electronic wastegate is used on most 2014+ N20 and N55 motors. They mixed it in to some 2013 models and its present in every 2014+ model. It replaced the old pneumatic vacuum canister/solenoid wastegate since the 335 was first released in late 2006. In theory this new electronic wastegate eliminates a lot of "slop" and unnecessary hardware from the boost control. So this should be a positive upgrade.

I just wanted to note that we have seen some 2015 and 2016 335i's with MWG/PWG's so the 2014+ method is not always correct. This is why we recommend visually checking before assuming you have an EWG on a late model car. While it is true it is rare, it has occurred in a handful of occasions.
