Steering clunk/knock?

Just got a new X4, was a pre reg from April 17 with 50 miles on the clock.

I have noticed the steering is making a quiet clunk/knock sound when turning right or when moving slowly if I pull down fairly sharply on the wheel to the right, or aggressively move the wheel up and down whilst moving slowly.

It's pretty faint, can't hear with the windows down or with radio on.

Has become pretty cold here recently, not sure if that's a coincidence or not....

Doesn't do it with the engine off which is what I've seen commonly.

It's a 35d m sport but I doubt that makes any different. I know it's an x4 but likely the same rack as on other diesel bmws.

Any ideas?? Is this normal, something to be concerned about? Back to dealer or just monitor to ensure it doesn't get worse?
