Anyone purchase X3 aftermarket wheels yet?

My X3 comes in a month, and I need to get 19" tires/wheels. Has anyone gotten anything yet? No sites list what fits our cars yet, so I don't know what I can even buy. Anyone have pics of any wheels on their car? Not BMW ones.

I think some 19" CSL M3 style wheels would look killer on these 2011 X3's. I'm interested in what will work too.

X2 Wheel specs.

I was browsing through a Wheel and tire catalog on a newstand a couple of days ago and they had a fitment chart for 2011 BMW's.

No idea if it was accurate but they listed the 2011 X3 F25 chassis as using a 5 X 120 bolt circle (same as almost every BMW made in the last 20 years), but with a 74.1 mm centering bore. That dimension is the same as the 2010 X5 and is not the same as most other BMWs which are 72.56 mm. Acceptable offset was listed at 35 to 42mm (positive).

That means that aftermarket wheels that use a centering ring should work (with the appropriate ring), but wheels designed for other BMWs that are bored for a direct fit on the 72.56 hubs will not fit.

Something to keep in mind if you're thinking of buying a set of used wheels.

Again, I haven't confirmed the center bore size, but when I get a chance I'll pull a wheel and measure it.

Agreed. They look way too small. Ugh.

Current F25's should still use the same wheels as the previous E83 X3's.
Off set and hub are supposed to be the same.

F25 need higher tire profile, due to greater roller circumference. The off set (ET) its slightly different also but shouldn't be any problem. Hub should be 72,5 mm on both. Observe that 35i needs 18" or bigger.

check out tirerack.com, not sure if they deliver to Canada or not.

They have tons of pages of wheels that will work, most you can view on the vehicle, its not the best representation but its an easy photoshop version and gives a good idea of how it will look. I bought winter wheels from them using this method and they looked a lot better on my car than the photo showed on their site. They will also tell you what size tires you should use for each wheel size on the X3 (of course several different sizes will probably work, just do the measurements yourself if you want something different)

TireRack does deliver to Canada.

My local dealers demo car has these 20" rims, which look very nice but what they are like on poor quality UK roads I don't know. Wheel type 310, according to the UK accessory brochure. 20" rims are in the X5 & LR4 category.

So what is the hub size?

74.1 or 72.47 as seen in this thread here:

The hubs on my X3 actually measure 72.47 mm O.D. That is the correct size.
The aftermarket wheels that my snow tires are mounted on (which fit fine) have a I.D. of 72.76mm. for necessary mounting clearance.

TireRack has tons of wheels that will fit, and they will supply the correct inner hub-centric sleeves for the X3 (if needed) when you order as long as you specify the car is a 2011 (F25). The lug bolts (M14 x 1.25) and the tire pressure sensors are different from those use on the 2010 and older X3s.

To me these look like Rial Salernos. I have them for my E90 with winter tires on them. After three winters, they are still holding up great.
