The interior lights with classic and modern options, inc lighting in the door bins & dimmed footwell
With service inclusive included in my deal, nothing to worry about for the next 5years

LCI Xline

Had the X line 3 weeks now and really enjoying this car! - new engine is very good - much more powerful than my old N47 and so quite. Not sure about the MPG as lots of local driving so far

I was given the build date but can't check it till later. Week 41 rings a bell...early Oct. It's all down to slots snd dealers. Mine's an Alphabet lease so the dealer has a lot of slots to mess with.

Spoke with my dealer today. Xline ordered April with an August build date at the time is now apparently due next year! Still need to get to the bottom of why it's moved out so far. Dealer isn't aware of any issues with xline only with supply of a couple of parts for MSport so no known reason. Not just mine; has had another ordered three weeks earlier moved out as well. Not pleased it's gone out that far (and that is the polite version!). Will need to give serious thought to whether or not I want to wait that long. Anyone any ideas what the issues might be?

Postscript to the above: Anyone anyone know direct email addresses for BMW Senior Management that I could drop a note to? PM me if you don't wish to post the address.

This got me worried as I've had an MSport 2.0 litre on order since mid April. I emailed my salesman last evening and have just received this reply from him which may/may not help explain some of the problem:

" I have checked this with my Manager who again advised me that the allocation for vehicles this year has been exhausted and any new vehicles ordered now will go into next year!

He advised myself that your order is in this years allocation (production week 36) and should be here as per BMW's build schedule showing week 42. Again we believe it will be here slightly sooner!

As for the post you have read, I can only assume the customer has been told by his Dealer that new cars will now be into 2015 but may not have explained our understanding that his order should have made this years allocation. However, if that customer has changed anything on his specification at a later stage then that could/possibly have taken it out of this years allocation and placed it into next years build quota!

I hope this makes sense, I can only assure you that it is in our interests as well as yours to deliver this car sooner rather than later!

Just keep waiting and hoping and ticking off the days.......!

what's the current discount available on a UK x3? achieved 7-8% previously on the pre LCI so just trying to do some research on post LCI… broad speed is quoting c4% only which suggests the x3 is still v much in demand?

I cancelled my order due to continued delay and changed to a X 5 that was unsold stock in the dealer network.

You did better than me - I went into Knights and no business Salesman was there so I left details - never called me back. Phoned up and left details again and never called back.. Ended up going elsewhere.. which was a shame..

I used coast to coast cars as a broker so had no real dealings with them, only the bit where I paid the deposit.

Ahh I see - sure they were more than happy to call up for a deposit :-) Shame is I probably have to deal with them as they are local dealership. I do have Bluebell in Crewe however I had same response from them too.. diddly squat!
