i went on bmw site for any updates available and none came up. Do i have latest version?

I upgrade os on my phone to Lolipop. I notice when i use pandora app on my phone, display on my idrive says UNKNOWN. It always displayed correct info on the idrive regarding song/album.

do i need to update media software or telephone software on x3?

I'm on the latest version and my Pandora shows Unknown as well. I didn't test if KitKat worked, but I assumed it didn't since I'm blaming the Pandora app instead of the BMW software.

Every other app works so far, like Spotify, Google Play Music, PowerAMP, Flixster. Also, the iOS Pandora works.

I'm leaning towards Pandora needing an update rather than BMW.

thanks for your input, i think its 5.0.1 android os thats causing the issue. i had 4.2 os and everything was working fine.

Still blaming Pandora. Maybe it's not optimized for Lollipop. I tried on Android 5.1 and 5.1.1, neither works.

I've been in touch with a dev there though, when I reported this problem. I will pass on that Android 4.2 works; that might help the troubleshooting.

i did some research and lollipop os has few bugs, bluetooth and wifi issues.

Maybe, but Spotify, Google Play Music, PowerAMP, and Flixster all work fine showing media info, so I still think it's something Pandora can fix on their end, not BMW or Google.

you are correct because google play music launch first once it connected via bluetooth. That never happen before, i had few songs saved on my phone. They started to play even though i had open pandora app. Once i was able to hear the song playing on pandora app, info wasnt displayed correctly. So i deleted the music off my phone to see if that was the issue and it wasnt.

Hi all, first post here. Brand new '16 X3 35- X-Line fully loaded.

I have a Nexus 6 (Last years model) and Spotify does not show up. Is that Iphone only? Also seems the few apps available are thru USB only.

Is all the above correct? If so, phooey!

Don't use the BMW Connected app, it sucks on Android. Just connect your phone to the car through Bluetooth and open Spotify straight from your phone.

That's what I've been doing. But would like to be able to scroll thru the collection via the interface. Even if it's just a gimmick I want to try it out.

Bluetooth audio now freezes and drops out. Requires reboot, and sometimes only after the car restarts. Looked for the update but the car wont take it.

Some phones work better than others with idrive. It's the fact that idrive is not perfectly set up for every single phone out there and the same with every phone with every manufacturer. Phone updates help but it's the fact that idrive is not updated as quickly as the phones they connect to.
