Heated Steering Wheel

Can anyone confirm if heated steering wheel is standard on Canadian X3's?
Does it come standard with the M-Sport package?

Reason I ask the M-Sport 335 deletes heated steering wheel and I want to ensure that this option will not be deleted.

I have a 2011 35i MSport and do have the heated steering wheel. It is not part of the MSport pkg, thus I assume all Canadian X3s have it.

Winter pkg is an option in the US, not in Canada. I think all Cdn X3 have the winter pkg built-in.

Nice. I love my heated steering wheel on the 335. I didn't understand why M-Sport 335's have that option deleted.

In the UK this is only available as part of the Cold Weather Package which actually prevents me from buying it. I would happily pay £115 for the wheel heating but have no need for rear heated seats or 20/40/20 split rear seats. Its annoying when you can't get certain individual options on their own.

Agreed. Same issue with my 335.

I could kick myself for not specifying this option at the time of placing my order!

To answer your question, yes "248 - Heated Steering Wheel" is standard on all X3s in Canada with production dates 10/2011 from the information I received from the dealer.

My printed options and package list does not say the M package deletes the 248 feature. ( Please confirm the numbers are a bit confusing because you have to jump around the pages...but I read what I read. )

I love this feature...another reason I chose the X3 over the Audi Q5.

Not sure about that date, as my X3 35i was built in April '11 and has the heated wheel standard equipment. In any event, is a standard feature on Canadian X3s now, regardless of when it started.

Mine was also an April build and I have the heated steering wheel. Never thought I would enjoy it as much as I am.

The "Gloves" option came in cheaper

Confirmed heated steering wheel standard even on M-Sport. I agree I never thought I'd enjoy the heated steering wheel as much I thought. I have it on the 335 and cannot imagine buying another car without this option especially in Calgary. This is another selling feature compared to GLK & Q5.

The X3 is the first car with the heated steering wheel for me...I thought it was a gimmick, but like the rest of you, I really have grown to love it and really miss it when I drive a car without it!
