Are European Headlights Glass?
(Previously posted in the wrong category. I tried to delete it.)
My headlights are getting "fogged over" on the inside. Someone told me that the European headlights are glass and not plastic. Does anyone know if this is true? If so how would I go about getting a set? I know it would be expensive. |

All are plastic, someone didn't know what they were talking about.
Bulb access cover or computer module seal is probably leaking. I've never seen fog on the inside of mine. Last edited by pungo; 10-25-2020 at 02:36 PM.. |

There was a time where that was true. I don't believe it still is. The lenses are made from a polycarbonate plastic. They do tend to get hazy on the outside over time. Cleaner/polishers like Meguiar's Plastix help by filling in the microscopic pores and maintaining optical clarity. Eventually though, they will all have to be reconditioned. Hazing on the inside is a sign that the fixture isn't sealed properly.
