Wireless charging pad

I'm considering purchasing and installing this wireless charging pad in my X3.

Anyone have experience with this? I'm not interested in just sticking a charging pad from Amazon there, if I do wireless charging I want it to be integrated. I inquired at the dealership about retrofitting a charging pad but they said there wasn't anything available.

I ordered this from the Chinese manufacturer. Have not received it, nor does this company reply to any of my emails. I would hold off on purchasing unless you are in direct contact with them.

I already ordered it a few days ago from the link above, though haven't received any shipment notification. If it takes too long I'll just have Amex reverse the charges.

I actually got the same charger and installed it in our 2015 X3.

Used it for around 2 months so far.

Right off the bat, I noticed the standby light is actually red/orange. If the phone is placed correctly in the charger, it'll chirp once and the LED will turn blue. If incorrectly placed, it will blink blue until the phone is re-placed into the charger.

I don't quite remember what the charge rate is, but it seems to be steady and charge enough.

Thanks! Makes me feel a little better knowing someone on here is living with it and likes it. I think it goes up to 10W wireless charging and I think Iphone only supports 7.5 so it will charge all the iphone can handle.

I emailed CarQIWireless about going 5 days without receiving a ship notice and they responded almost immediately. They very politely and apologetically said they were having issues with their system and my order shipped a couple days ago. They sent me a tracking link, it's in Chinese but I was able to tell my order is in Shenzhen China at the moment, I'm in Texas so it has a ways to go. Don't know if the Coronavirus issues will further delay it.

A lot of the shipments from China have been taking munch longer than usual. Better quarantine it when it arrives.
