My only complaint about the heated wheel is that the seam stays cold, so depending how you hold the wheel you can have a hot palm and cold fingertips!

I don't mind that so much as the tops of my hands still being cold. But hey, half a warm had is better than none .

The heated wheel in my '11 E92 heated much more quickly and with more intensity than on my '12 x35. Seat heaters are just as good though, including the heating in the thigh supports.

I still say the heated steering is the best feature if you live in the cold...you have to be crazy not to get it! I miss it after I drive the X3 and then switch to my other vehicles... especially when it's below zero outside.

I absolutely <3 LOVE <3 it!! Although, while I could get Driver Assistance package with SAP + heated wheel, it could not co-exist with MSport + heated wheel. Must be some steering wheel attribute that makes it mutually exclusive. So I chose to not have Driver Assistance to get the heated wheel. Life is full of choices I guess. I could have gotten HUD as standalonebut I decided to drop that one and got every other option I could.

It's quick, it's hot, it's cheap - best choice for X3 users that are not residents of south Europe or California (just guessing)
