Auto Stop
I used the Veepeak OBDCheck BLE OBD2 Bluetooth Scanner along with Bimmercode and have had perfect results. In fact I think I have run out of things to code without going to expert mode. The auto stop was the first thing I did.

I did my F series 335 with Bimmercode, for some reason my X3 defaults to last setting without coding. I hate the start / stop feature!

I have BimmerCode and successfully shut off the start stop function as well as many other features. You have to make sure, after changing the settings you want, to hit the CODE at the top of the screen to change the final settings.

I have an '18 X3 30i. Just picked up BimmerCode full version on my iPhone. Also picked up Vgate Pro Bluetooth 4.0.
All connected well but there were two coding categories I was locked out of and received a message that the version I have does not support coding in those categories. Anyone else have that problem? If so, were you able to get around it? |

Thanks Pungo. The BimmerTool app is the most recent and claims to open all coding options but that depends on the adaptor. I have a new and latest version Vgate Pro Wi-Fi / Bluetooth 4.0.
The two categories I could not access are Advanced Crash Safety Module and Body Domain Controller. I contacted BimmerCode and this is what they sent me this morning: Hi Steve, to access this control unit an advanced adapter like the OBDLink MX+ or UniCarScan adapter is required. The Vgate devices are error prone and unreliable in general and not able to handle the amount of data contained in some control units in newer G Series cars. I'm not sure I would be messing around in with Advanced Crash Safety Module, especially with a phone app I use e-sys and have no problems doing anything I want with no restrictions, but I'm careful what I change. |

BimmerCode has two levels of access to coding - the basics and the professional. I stay away from the professional and there are risk associated with that given my experience level.
Not sure what you are asking about when you ask about what version I am using - version of what? |

Beemercode & Veepeak
Good morning, I'm new to this forum and also new to owning a 2020 x3.
I have the beemercode with a subscription on my android s20 phone. I also purchased a Veepeak OBDCheck BLE - OBD-II Scan tool. Trying to code with my new setup, and the only code that I'm interested in at the moment is to get into advanced crash to eliminate the seat belt chime. This is what I get when I hit advanced crash. This control unit is not accessible with the adapter you are using. Please find more information on the website. Should I have purchased a different adapter, if so, can anyone suggest one that is going to code without a hitch, or am I doing something wrong. Anyway, thank you for your time. Regards.....Carl |

Just so you know, this forum is for the X3 F25 2011-2017), your model vehicle forum is BMW X3 (G01) / X4 (G02) I would contact bimmercode support and ask for their assistance since you have a subscription. |
